If you want something more thin and firm get mid. If you don’t press down into your mousepad at all when gaming then choosing between xsoft and soft doesn’t matter too much, get what’s available. (Xsoft and soft are 4mm thick, mid is 3mm thick). Mid is thinner and more firm like a hard pad and has little to no give at all and provides the most speed. You can press into it but it requires much more force. Soft is the safest choice since it’s not too hard or too soft and feels more like a typical cloth pad. And since it’s the softest some people enjoy the extra comfort. Some people use that to their advantage and press into the pad for added control. Sponge choices: xsoft is the most squishy and has the most give. (Recently got popular with this new v2 version they’ve made) Hayate Otsu: People say this is like in between the Hien and zero in terms of speed while others say it’s about the same speed as the Hien? I’m not sure on this one you’ll have to search “Hayate Otsu” in this sub and also look at YouTube reviews (I suggest this for all the pads ofc so you can get different opinions I’m just stating the general consensus with these pads) this pad has been getting a lot of praise though and people really seem to enjoy it. Tracking doesn’t feel sluggish at all on this pad and it holds up well in humidity (along with all the other Artisan pads). People describe this as better QCK/upgraded QCK (I never used the QCK my first pad was a GSR-SE) so if you want the safest pick this would be it.
